Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Urology, Surgery, and Surgical Subspecialty team at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. The APPs will manage inpatient surgical/urology patients, participate as first-assist in operations, and perform bedside procedures within a multidisciplinary team.

Open to Acute Care NP or PA with 1+ year urology/surgery experience.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
• Physician Assistant credential required.
• 1+ year of urology and/or surgery experience as a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
• Develop plans for further evaluation with care team members, including referrals to specialists as needed.
• Provide appropriate treatment within the scope of practice as designated by protocols and coordinate with supervising physicians.

Unrestricted Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
