BAS Healthcare, Inc. seeks an Advanced Practitioner for an outpatient urology and pelvic health practice in Farmington, CT.

The role involves evaluating and managing patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and related conditions, alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Responsibilities include initial and follow-up consultations, pre/post-operative care, and participation in advanced therapies such as pessary fitting and sacral neuromodulation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• APRN/PA license in Connecticut or eligibility to obtain license.
• Active DEA registration and BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience in Urology or Urogynecology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct initial consultations and follow-up visits for urologic/urogynecologic conditions.
• Evaluate and manage urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, and pelvic floor disorders.
• Perform pre- and post-operative evaluations and ongoing patient management.
• Perform and interpret urodynamic testing and pelvic floor assessments.
• Assist in advanced therapies including pessary fitting, sacral neuromodulation, PTNS.
• Collaborate with Urologists, Urogynecologists, Colorectal Surgeons and other APPs on treatment plans.
• Travel to satellite offices; participate in research and clinical education as appropriate.

Job Details:

• Full-time outpatient position working Monday through Friday in a specialized Urology and Pelvic Health practice
• Work closely with physicians specializing in Female Urology, Urogynecology, Voiding Dysfunction, and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery
• Perform initial consultations and follow-up visits for patients with urologic and urogynecologic conditions
• Evaluate and manage patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, pelvic floor disorders, neurogenic bladder, urethral stricture disease, chronic pelvic pain, chronic cystitis, and sexual dysfunction
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and ongoing patient management
• Perform and interpret urodynamic testing and conduct pelvic floor muscle assessments and pelvic organ prolapse evaluations
• Participate in advanced therapies including pessary fitting, sacral neuromodulation, and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS)
• Perform urethral catheterization and provide patient education and training
• Provide patient counseling, education, and triage for acute concerns
• Collaborate with Urologists, Urogynecologists, Colorectal Surgeons, and fellow APPs to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Opportunities for operating room first assisting, procedural and surgical involvement may be available
• Participate in research, clinical trials, and educational activities in collaboration with physicians as appropriate
• Travel to satellite office locations may be required
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required; Master's Degree in Nursing required for Nurse Practitioners
• Active Connecticut APRN or PA license or eligibility for licensure required
• DEA registration and current BLS/CPR certification required
• Prior experience in Urology or Urogynecology preferred
