The Portland Clinic is seeking a detailed Surgery Scheduler to coordinate general and local surgeries for two surgeons. You will manage scheduling across Day Surgery and hospital settings, communicate with patients, and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR.

Ideal candidates are organized, patient, and capable of handling high-volume scheduling while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional communication with staff and patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented surgery scheduler for two busy surgeons.
• Follows Portland Clinic policies for scheduling surgeries and pre-operative testing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately schedule surgeries and procedures in Day Surgery or hospital.
• Schedule or arrange pre-operative diagnostic testing.
• Obtain insurance information and complete referrals/pre-authorizations.
• Educate patients regarding preparation and insurance issues.
• Follow HIPAA/OSHA guidelines and maintain patient safety.
