Jefferson Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to enhance the patient experience by courteously scheduling inpatient and outpatient procedures and/or surgeries. This role supports the Jefferson Experience by emphasizing prompt and courteous treatment of all patients.

The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks while maintaining HIPAA and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors. Ability to process and interpret data. Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Mansioni

• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Collect and review patient insurance information to include but not limited to: obtaining prior authorizations and referral information and ensure all necessary approvals are in place prior to the scheduled surgical procedure.
• Completes pre-procedure phone calls and confirms appointment times with patients via telephone.
• Provides patient with all necessary pre-operative instructions.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
