Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Full-time front desk/clerical specialist to support a Urology specialty office in Connecticut. The role focuses on greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments and managing registrations, insurance verification, copay collections, and referrals.

Responsibilities include handling patient communications, routing calls to the appropriate staff, and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth patient flow and provider productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred; knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills; proficiency in a Windows-based environment and Microsoft Office; accuracy and dependability required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.
