Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England's Urology Practice in West Hartford seeks a friendly Business Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, register patients, verify insurance, and collect copays at service time.

The full-time day-shift role supports providers by coordinating pre-authorizations, referrals, and chart preparation to ensure smooth visits and high-quality care for the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred; knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills; proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office; accuracy and dependability; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with patients in person or by phone, identifying themselves and their department.
• Answer telephones courteously and use appropriate scripting to assist callers.
• Process calls to transfer patients to the appropriate staff member or provider promptly.
• Schedule patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
