Job summary

Summit Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and direct patient care. The role emphasizes accurate vitals, EHR documentation, and efficient room turnover across satellite sites.

The position requires a high school diploma, MA or phlebotomy program graduation, BLS, and 0–1 year experience (2–4 years preferred). Strong English communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0–1 year related work experience; 2–4 years preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts the patient.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visit.
• Documents vitals and allergy information in the EHR.
• Enters orders and schedules appointments in the PMS and EHR.
• Provides referrals and consult orders in the PMS and EHR.
• Assists with scribing services and other duties as assigned.
