Job summary

Advanced Urology Institute LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in a urology clinic setting. The role requires documentation in electronic records and collaboration with physician teams.

The LPN will perform bedside and procedural tasks, assist with office-based procedures, and support patient education while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of urological office procedures.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Medical terminology and coding basics.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document new and established patient consults; review patient history and pertinent data.
• Provide direct surgical assistance with urological procedures.
• Review physician orders and lab requests with patients; coordinate follow-up.
• Perform treatments per physician orders, including medications, dressing changes and catheterizations.
• Observe and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments to supervising staff; ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with scheduling and care delivery teams for preop clearances and procedure planning.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
