Job summary

SMG System Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practice Professional with surgical urology expertise to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and staff, the APP will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and coordinate peri-operative care and follow-up within the department and across the WVU Health System.

Expect responsibilities include rounds, orders for tests, and direct involvement in patient education and discharge planning, with opportunities to teach

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: CCNE accredited program with MSN.
• APRN national certification.
• West Virginia RN/APRN licensure eligibility.
• RNFA privilege and RNFA certification.
• BLS with ALS as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive and individualized care for surgical urology patients.
• Complete daily rounds and pre-procedure evaluations.
• Coordinate peri-operative care and discharge planning.
• Perform diagnostic tests and communicate results to care team.
• Educate residents and nursing students as part of training.
