SMG System Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional with surgical urology expertise in Oakland, MD. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, peri‑operative planning, and collaboration with the clinical team across inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Responsibilities include rounds, pre‑procedure evaluations, procedures, discharge planning, and post‑hospital follow‑up. Requires APRN or PA credentials, BLS, and licensure eligibility in WV.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure; or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
• APRNs privileged as First Assist and RNFA certification required.
• BLS Certification with Advanced Life Support training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for surgical urology patients in inpatient, post‑discharge, and ambulatory settings.
• Completes daily rounds and pre‑procedure evaluations.
• Performs diagnostic tests and communicates results per guidelines.
• Assists in peri‑operative management including 1st assisting in the operative suite.
• Coordinates discharge planning and follow‑up with the health care team.
