Job summary

comforcarecareers in Charlotte, NC seeks a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for part-time hours from 9am to 1pm or 10am to 2pm, five days a week. You will provide personal care and homemaker/companion services as outlined by a care plan to help clients remain at home.

Responsibilities include ADLs, companionship, transfers with fall risk support, and light transportation within a 5 mile radius. A valid driver's license and access to transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver's license and access to insured transportation.
• Clean background with no history.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care with ADLs and IADLs.
• Offer companion/sitter/household management and respite services.
• Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients.
• Administer daily activities for a client aged in the 80s for 3–4 hours daily/4–5 days a week.
• Occasional transportation to run errands within a 5 mile radius once a week.

The Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions:

• Personal Care with ADLs and IADLs
  • Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care, back care, shampoo, oral hygiene, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair), change of position, with toileting.
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family
• Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients
• Client is in 80s and the family needs immediate assistance for 3-4 hours daily/4-5 days a week.
• Occasional Transportation to run errands within 5 mile radius once a week.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
• Clean background with no history.
