Job summary

Alliance Home Care is hiring a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Caregiver to support clients at home. You will provide personal care, companionship, and help with daily tasks to ensure a safe, comfortable living environment.

Shift: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9am–5pm. The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to work independently or with a team to meet clients’ needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring.
• Excellent communication and a genuine desire to help others are essential.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care.
• Provide companionship and monitor health or safety of clients.
• Support with mobility, transfers and ambulation as needed.
• Prepare meals following dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with exercises or therapy activities.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to health guidelines.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide essential support to clients who need assistance with daily living activities. Your primary responsibility will be to offer personal care, companionship, and help with daily tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility, including transfers and ambulation, and ensure a safe environment.
• Prepare and serve meals, following any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organization.
• Provide medication reminders and help with prescribed exercises or therapies.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities.
• Monitor and report changes in client’s health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Respect and maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Adhere to all safety and health guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
