Job summary

ComForCare in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Part‑time Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care and homemaker services per a care plan, enabling the client to remain at home. The role focuses on bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility support.

The position involves companionship, standby transfer assistance, and light errands for a woman in her 80s, with 3–3.5 hours daily, Monday through Friday. Training is available and scheduling offers flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English.
• Possess a valid driver's license and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, toileting) and household tasks as per care plan.
• Provide companionship and respite services to the client and family.
• Stand-by assistance with transfers for fall risk clients.
• Support the client for 3–3.5 hours per day, Mon-Fri, with occasional local transportation.

The Home Health Aide (HHA) provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions:

• Personal Care
  • Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care, back care, shampoo, oral hygiene, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair), change of position, with toileting.
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family
• Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients
• Client is a woman in her 80s and the family needs immediate assistance for 3 to 3.5 hours hours daily Mon through Friday.
• Occasional Transportation to run errands within 5 mile radius once a week.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job

Must be:

• Willing to keep client active
• Good at communicating
• Have driver's license and car
