Job summary

ComForCare is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide client care and homemaker support in the client’s home. The role emphasizes compassionate personal care, companionship, and adherence to an individualized plan of care.

Essential functions include aiding with ADLs/IADLs, transfers with fall risk, and light transportation. A high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and a clean background are required; training is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and access to insured vehicle.
• Clean background with no history.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care with ADLs and IADLs and related routines.
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management and family respite support.
• Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients.
• Occasional transportation to run errands or appointments.

Part Time

Previous Home Health Aide/CNA Experience required, Training available.

The Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions:

• Personal Care with ADLs and IADLs
  • Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care, back care, shampoo, oral hygiene, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair), change of position, with toileting.
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family
• Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients
• Occasional Transportation to run errands or appointments

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
• Clean background with no history.

Must be:

• Willing to keep client active
• Good at communicating
• Have driver's license and car
