Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Cookeville, TN is seeking experienced ARRT radiology techs or limited license X-ray techs to join our team. The role involves performing x-ray testing, equipment operation, film development, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, BLS, TN State X-Ray License, and preferred ARRT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• TN State X-Ray License required.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage waiting areas.
• Communicate wait times and treatment steps to patients.
• Address patient questions and escalate emergencies.
• Perform patient intake, vital signs, and history.
• Assist front desk with check-in/check-out as needed.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure safety.
• Operate diagnostic radiology equipment and process images.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
• Complete documentation for each patient visit.
• Support radiology procedures under supervision of provider.
