Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals in Naperville, IL is seeking veterinarians to join our after-hours, urgent care team. This role focuses on non-wellness urgent cases in a single-doctor shift model, with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs.

We offer a flexible schedule, second shift opportunities, and a Fear Free, feline-friendly environment supported by a strong technical team and modern facilities. Candidates must have a DVM/VMD and be licensed or eligible to practice in Illinois.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state or ability to obtain a license in that state.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Chicago community
• Encourage growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Naperville, IL area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
