Job summary

UrgentVet in the St. Louis area is seeking a DVM to provide after-hours urgent care for canine and feline patients. You’ll work in single-doctor shifts handling common urgent cases with wound management, GI concerns, and euthanasia, using a cloud EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs.

We offer a flexible swing/second shift, strong clinical team support, mentorship, and modern, paperless hospitals designed for efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from AVMA-accredited college.
• Active license to practice in the state of employment or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the practice and the St. Louis, Missouri community
• Encourage the growth of support staff members through our internal LevelUp training program
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours

Education

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the St. Louis, Missouri area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
