Job summary

UrgentVet in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a dedicated veterinarian for our urgent care clinics. You will provide high-quality after-hours care for canine and feline patients in a fast-paced, paperless setting with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX lab equipment.

Join a strong technical team and supportive leadership. Expect flexible scheduling with swing/second shifts and a focus on relationship-based care.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from AVMA accredited college or completion of ECFVG/PAVE program.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Des Moines community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff through our LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the West Des Moines, Iowa area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
