Zusammenfassung

VillageMD is seeking a dedicated Scribe Tech to support physicians by accurately documenting patient visits into the EMR and assisting with basic care and procedures. This role emphasizes high-quality patient service, fast pace, and teamwork in an urgent care setting.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assisting background or phlebotomy training, strong communication, and flexibility to work full-time including weekends; BLS is required at hire.

Qualifikationen

• High School Degree or GED; undergraduate degree a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language (speaking and writing) skills required
• Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on-site location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Aufgaben

• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures, which may include phlebotomy and lab tasks.
• Assisting site management with directing patient flow, inventory, and lab follow-up.
• Ensuring Department of Health (DOH) compliance of site lab and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-ray, or other facilities on site.
• Maintain quick pace in fast paced urgent care facility during scheduled shift (8–12 hours).
• Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals for follow-up care as directed.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians over the phone under physician guidance.
• Maintain a clean, courteous, and professional environment; ensure site stocked with supplies.
• Provide compassionate care to our patients.
