Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe Tech to document patient visits in the EMR promptly and assist physicians with basic care during urgent care shifts. You will help manage patient flow, labs, and inventory while upholding DOH compliance and delivering excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes accuracy, composure in a fast-paced environment, and collaboration with the clinical team in an urgent care setting. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certs are a plus but not required.
• Clear communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and compassionate patient care.
• Experience or exposure in urgent care or clinical settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Direct patient flow, manage inventory, and follow up on labs as needed.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment.
