Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to balance high-quality imaging with clinical support duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform X-ray exams, adhere to ALARA, and collaborate with providers to ensure timely patient care.

The role also involves stepping into MA duties, handling triage, labs, venipuncture, and wound care when not imaging. Exposure to MR tasks includes verification, registration, and payment collection.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified (RT) in good standing; Radiologic Technologist license where required.
• Current BLS certification.
• 1+ year urgent care/ER imaging experience.
• Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
• Willing to cover MA/MR duties as needed.
• Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology (X-ray) exams safely, following ALARA.
• Work as an X-Ray Technologist while supporting urgent care operations.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure timely care.
• Flex into MA clinical duties (triage, labs, venipuncture, wound care) when not performing imaging/radiology.
• Support MR tasks (insurance verification, registration, payment collection).
• Maintain equipment QC and compliance logs.
