Job summary

Corewell Health Urgent Care in Michigan is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, verify information, and manage front-office tasks in a fast-paced clinic.

You will support the practice team, handle insurance verification, collect payments, maintain confidentiality, and ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance while traveling to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Maintain confidentiality while organizing documents.
• Insurance Verification: Verify eligibility and provide payment policies.
• Financial Responsibility: Collect and explain patient financial responsibilities.
• Collaborative Support: Assist the practice manager, providers, and staff as needed.
• Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards and documentation guidelines.
• Administrative Duties: Perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
• Travel Requirement: Support staffing by traveling to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations.
