Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: maintain confidentiality while organizing documents.
• Insurance Verification: analyze health benefits, verify eligibility, and provide payment policies and billing information.
• Financial Responsibility: determine and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Collaborative Support: assist practice manager, providers, and staff for smooth operations.
• Compliance: adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards in all processes.
• Administrative Duties: perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
• Quality Assurance: ensure compliance with quality programs and patient trackers.
• Travel Requirement: travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
