Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support front-end and clinical operations in a fast-paced urgent care environment. You will collect patient histories, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy if certified, and assist providers during exams and testing.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in Patient Care Technician or similar role
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy
• Able to identify equipment problems and notify team leader
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• CPR certification required
• Ability to use Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy if certified
• Complete paperwork for lab tests
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, glucose, influenza, etc.)
• Schedule and coordinate records for ancillary care
• Assist providers with exams and testing
• Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Ensure equipment is in working order
• Maintain exam rooms and supply stock
• Provide patient flow support
• Document patient history and medical information
