Job summary

American Family Care in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Urgent Care Clinic Manager to lead daily operations and a diverse clinical team. You will own patient flow, staff performance, scheduling, payroll, and compliance while partnering with Providers and Advanced Practice Professionals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare management experience (urgent care/outpatient preferred).
• Strong leadership with ability to coach and retain teams.
• Clinical experience or Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
• Active BLS certification required or to be obtained during onboarding.
• Proficient in scheduling and payroll; EMR experience (Experity) highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of healthcare administration, compliance and budget management.
• Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor non-provider staff to foster service and accountability.
• Manage day-to-day clinic operations, patient flow, scheduling, and resource use.
• Monitor KPIs, patient satisfaction (NPS), staff turnover, and budget adherence.
• Maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance and internal protocols.
• Handle recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and performance management.
• Serve as liaison with regional leadership, communicating performance data and plans.
• Oversee clinic finances, including budget control and P&L tracking.
• Support on the floor during peak hours as needed.
