Zusammenfassung

Carbon Health is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant for per diem coverage in Oakland, CA. You will take vitals, collect patient history, triage, and assist with urgent care procedures in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires MA certification, current BLS, and a willingness to obtain DOT certification. Prior MA and phlebotomy experience are preferred; DOT reimbursement is provided where required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ years MA experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Take vitals, document patient history, and triage.
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations, and wound care.
• Administer medications intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous; perform ear lavages and EKGs.
• Conduct lab tests: urinalysis, pregnancy tests, glucose, Strep, influenza, and rapid HIV.
• Manage front desk duties as needed; support reception.
• Complete training to obtain DOT certification for urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests.
