Job summary

CareNow is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient exams and procedures in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will prepare patients, rooms, and supplies; assist with injections, lab work, and phlebotomy; and help with transfers and follow-ups at partner clinics.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of clinical experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and completes a qualifying Medical Assisting program. AAMA certification is a plus and a 30-day certification goal is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical patient setting experience preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, ensure supplies and sterilization.
• Assist with injections, lab testing, and phlebotomy.
• Support physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling follow-up care.
• Coordinate physicals and workplace injury assessments.
