Job summary

MD Now is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team and support patient care across urgent care settings. The role involves preparing patients, assisting with procedures, and coordinating follow-up care, with travel between MD Now locations within the assigned area preferred.

Required are 1+ year of clinical experience and an accredited Medical Assisting program graduate; AAMA certification is helpful and a Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certification within 30 days is

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program required
• AAMA certification is helpful

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts
• Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners
• Willing to travel/float between MD Now locations within assigned area

AAMA certification helpful

Certificate_BLS/CPR within 30 days
