Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care and team collaboration. You will prepare patients, assist with examinations, injections, and lab tasks, and coordinate follow-up scheduling in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of clinical experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and completed an accredited Medical Assisting program. Opportunities include benefits and growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical patient care experience.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or completion of an approved program (BOTP).
• AAMA certification is helpful.
• Ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians.
