Job summary

FastMed is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, procedures, and patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Responsibilities include triaging, vitals, blood draws, lab work, and assisting with medications and immunizations as directed by the clinician.

Ideal candidates will have MA program completion or CMA/RMA certification, or EMT/Paramedic background, and a preference for prior healthcare experience in urgent care or ED settings. BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program, OR CCMA certification, OR active CMA/RMA designation, OR 6 months relevant experience.
• Preferred prior experience in emergency/urgent care or ambulatory settings.
• Certification: BLS through American Heart Association is required; others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients, measuring vitals, and recording information.
• Blood draws, venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab work completion.
• Administering medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Setting up procedures as instructed by the provider.
• Preparing treatment rooms and escorting patients to exam rooms.
