Carson Valley Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the CVH Urgent Care/Occ Health clinic in Gardnerville, NV. The full-time role supports clinicians, collects vital signs, and schedules testing while ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include patient care, exam room preparation, and coordinating lab results, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• MA certification from recognized agencies (or obtain within 90 days)
• Current BLS Certification; Office Lab Assistant license within 90 days of hire
• Reading, writing, organizing, and filing skills
• Patient centered care and customer service; computer/word processing skills

Responsibilities

• Collect patient vital signs and data in coordination with clinic staff.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist in determining medical problems.
• Obtain brief medical history including age, DOB, chief complaint, meds and allergies.
• Assist physicians with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Sterilize and set up instruments; prepare exam rooms and supplies.
• Schedule patients for testing; ensure lab reports and imaging are filed in EMR.
• Authorize and fax refill requests per provider instruction.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and office areas; manage supply inventory.
• Document patient observations accurately and timely.
