Carson Valley Health Urgent Care in Gardnerville, NV seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to provide compassionate patient care from infant to geriatric. You will support clinicians, manage vital signs, prepare rooms, and ensure accurate charting of results and tests in the EMR.

The role requires MA certification (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA or state-recognized), current BLS, and an Office Laboratory Assistant license (or obtained within 90 days). Previous clinic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate reading, writing and spelling skills.
• Patient centered care is essential.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Computer and word processing skills are required.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Professional phone etiquette is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-centered care with clinic staff.
• Collect vital signs and patient data.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist in determining medical problems.
• Obtain medical history including medications and allergies.
• Assist with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Sterilize and set up instruments; prepare rooms and stock supplies.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and interventions.
• Schedule testing procedures and ensure results are documented in EMR.
