Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for CVH Senior Care on a per diem basis. The role supports a full clinic team, delivers patient-centered care, and assists clinicians with vital signs and testing procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold MA certification from a recognized body, have current BLS, and be prepared to obtain an Office Laboratory Assistant license within 90 days. Per diem status includes an hourly rate with a 15% premium and on-demand scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must hold current certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or any agency recognized by the medical board of the issuing state (or obtain within 90 days of hire date).
• Current BLS Certification.
• Office Laboratory Assistant license (or obtain within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Works with the clinic staff to provide patient-centered care.
• Assists physicians with patients and collects vital signs and data.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares rooms and instruments.
• Schedules tests and ensures lab results are scanned in the medical record.
