Washoe Barton Medical Clinic in Gardnerville, NV seeks a Medical Assistant - Clinic Admin for a full-time role. The position supports physicians and the clinic team by collecting vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating tests and documentation in the EMR.

Requirements include active MA certification (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA or state-recognized), current BLS, and an Office Laboratory Assistant license or within 90 days of hire. Bi-lingual preferred; prior clinic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Certification as a Medical Assistant by a recognized agency (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA or state-recognized).
Current BLS Certification.
Office Laboratory Assistant license (or within 90 days of hire).
Strong reading, writing, spelling, organizing and filing skills.
Patient-centered care and customer service skills.
Computer and word processing skills.

Responsibilities

Works with clinic staff to provide patient-centered care as a team.
Collects patient vital signs and data for clinicians.
Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with procedures.
Obtain medical history including age, DOB, chief complaint, medications and allergies.
Assist physicians with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Sterilize instruments and prepare rooms; stock supplies.
Document care and communications in EMR; schedule testing procedures.
Authorize and fax refill requests per provider instruction.
Maintain daily office duties and clean exam areas.
