Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking a Medical Assistant - Clinic Admin for a full-time role in Gardnerville, NV. The candidate will provide patient-centered care, support clinicians, and manage rooming, vitals, and documentation using the EMR system.

The position requires current MA certification (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA or state-recognized), BLS, and an Office Laboratory Assistant license (or within 90 days). Prior clinic experience is preferred and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant by AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA or equivalent recognized by state medical board.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Office Laboratory Assistant license (or within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care with the clinic team.
• Collect vital signs and data for physicians/providers.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms and instruments.
• Obtain medical history and medications information.
• Assist with minor procedures and sterilize instruments.
• Schedule tests and ensure results are in the chart prior to appointments.
• Communicate with pharmacy for refills as instructed.
