Carson Valley Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for per diem support in our Senior Care clinic. The role involves assisting clinicians, collecting vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating testing procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include current MA certification from recognized bodies and a current BLS certification; an Office Laboratory Assistant license or completion within 90 days is required. Per diem status means no guaranteed hours.

Formación

• Must hold current certification as a Medical Assistant by recognized agencies (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA) or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Office Laboratory Assistant license or obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and providers by collecting patient vital signs and data.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist in determining medical problems.
• Obtain brief medical history including age, DOB, chief complaint, meds and allergies.
• Prepare examination rooms and instruments; sterilize and set up instruments; stock supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patient families regarding treatments and education.
• Schedule testing procedures and ensure lab reports, X-rays and other results are in the chart.
