Qualifications

• Must hold current certification as a Medical Assistant by recognized body or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS Certification and Office Laboratory Assistant license (or within 90 days).
• Excellent reading, writing, spelling, organizing, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient vital signs and data with clinicians.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with exams.
• Obtain medical history including meds and allergies.
• Assist with minor diagnostic procedures.
• Sterilize and set up instruments.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Educate patients and families about treatments.
• Schedule tests and ensure test results are filed in EMR.
• Process refills via provider instructions.
