Job summary

Washington Regional Urgent Care in Mountain Home, AR seeks an experienced Medical Assistant with clerical duties to support urgent care, occupational health, and workers’ compensation settings. Responsibilities include patient intake, vital signs, basic documentation, and front-desk reception during a 36-40 hour week with rotating shifts.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 1 year MA experience, MA certificate or equivalent, BLS, and willingness to pursue an AR Limited X-Ray License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience.
• Interest in earning AR Limited X-Ray License preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• Prior clerical tasks in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in waiting area, exam room, and lab or x-ray room.
• Handle registration, insurance data, and patient payments.
• Answer phones, file, fax, scan, and complete callbacks.
• Check in/out patients and support clinical staff.
• Document vitals, histories, medications, allergies, and demographics.
• Assist with procedures under provider supervision.
• Maintain neat, compliant patient areas and deposit daily.
• Support transfers and ensure accurate documentation.
