Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience performing clerical tasks in a medical office setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience; willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License preferred.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly when entering waiting areas, exam rooms, and lab/x-ray rooms.
• Answer patient inquiries and guide them through the registration process.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan documents, and complete daily patient callbacks.
• Check in and discharge patients; support clinical staff and close the office after shifts.
• Collect insurance information, verify demographics, process payments, and post balances.
• Communicate wait times to patients and guide them to the next steps in care.
• Assist with patient transfers and with procedures under provider supervision.
• Document patient visits according to procedures and maintain orderly patient areas.
• Handle cash reconciliation and nightly deposit drops; maintain a tidy, professional environment.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
