Novant Health–GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support providers in delivering high-quality urgent care services. You will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, front desk responsibilities, and patient flow to ensure a safe and efficient patient experience.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience and a Medical Assisting program is preferred. BLS certification is required at hire.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• Front desk or patient registration experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients and collect required paperwork, insurance information, and eligibility verification.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as directed.
• Prepare patients for examination by verifying visit details and documenting in the chart.
• Measure and record vitals (BP, temp, pulse, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing (flu, strep, UA, EKG, pregnancy tests) and relay results to providers.
• Draw blood and prep specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and keep supplies stocked.
