Novant Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support providers across urgent care locations in North Carolina. You’ll handle patient intake, clinical procedures, and front desk operations to ensure a smooth patient flow and high-quality service.

Responsibilities include vital signs, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and coordination of referrals, with a focus on accuracy and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect insurance information.
• Process co-pays and scheduling.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as directed.
• Document medical history and visit details in records.
• Measure vital signs and perform point-of-care tests.
• Draw and prepare blood specimens.
• Maintain exam rooms and supply levels.
• Manage calls and reception duties.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls.
• Perform opening/closing duties and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with clinical and safety policies.
