Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Oklahoma is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused setting. You will support providers with exams, takeVitals, assist with procedures, and help with front desk tasks as needed.

Candidates must complete an approved MA program or have a GED/high school diploma with certification options. EMR/EHR proficiency and strong patient communication are essential. This is a part-time, onsite role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• OR COMPLETED an UNAPPROVED MA training program AND National Certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA) or 2000 hours supervised experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with exams, including patient vitals, and procedures.
• Administers medications per policy under Provider direction.
• Performs blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May perform splinting and casting and conduct sports physicals.
• Notifies providers of unusual patient occurrences and safety concerns.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR and supports front office as needed.
