Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a dynamic Medical Assistant to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinic. You will support exams, administer medications, perform specimen collection, and help ensure smooth patient flow in the front and back office settings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved MA program, and national certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA). Some roles may require additional skills or experience, with patient care at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED and an Approved MA training program.
• National Certification through CMA/AMT/CCMA is required.
• Or UNAPPROVED MA program with national certification options.
• Other MA education or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams, including vitals, under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting and sports physicals.
• Notifies provider of unusual events and safety concerns.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR and front office support as needed.
• Support patient flow, discharge processes, and billing steps.
