Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care seeks a proactive Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, take vitals, and handle front-office duties in a fast-paced setting. The role involves administering medications, blood draws, and basic procedures, while maintaining compliance with safety and lab policies.

You will work closely with clinicians in a team-focused environment, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care across our Plano clinics.

Qualifications

• Must assist providers with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR and infection control policies.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced urgent-care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient vitals.
• Administers medications per policy and provider direction.
• Performs blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting and wound care.
• Ensures patient flow and front desk operations run smoothly.
