Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care seeks a motivated Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, vitals and procedures in a fast-paced team setting. You will administer medications, draw blood, collect urine samples, and assist with sports physicals within clinic protocols.

Proficiency in EMR/EHR and patient-centered care is essential. Successful candidates will meet education requirements and be capable of front-office support as needed, contributing to a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• National CMA/CCMA/RMA certs may be required depending on program.
• All states education requirements must be met as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws as directed.
• May collect urine samples for testing, including drug screens.
• Assist with sports physicals and other urgent care procedures.
• Maintain EMR/EHR proficiency and support front office as needed.
