Job summary

NextCare is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented urgent care setting. You will support exams, vitals, medication administration, and front-office tasks while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires completing an approved Medical Assistant program and national certification, with experience in EMR/EHR systems. Medical, dental, vision, and comprehensive benefits are offered to full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an approved (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• National Certification (CMA/CCMA or RMA) through one of the listed associations.
• For unapproved programs, eligibility requires 1 year or 2000 hours of supervised work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, patient vitals, and procedures.
• Administer medications per policy and provider direction.
• Perform phlebotomy and urine collection for testing.
• Support front office duties and patient flow as needed.
• Ensure EMR/EHR proficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
