Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support providers with exams, take vitals, and perform a variety of patient care duties in a fast-paced clinic. You will administer medications, draw blood, collect specimens, and assist with procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Ability to obtain patient vitals and assist providers during exams.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR documentation and clinic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and collect urine for testing as directed.
• Assist with splinting, casting, and sports physicals.
• Provide wound care, ear lavage, and oxygen administration as needed.
• Notify provider of unusual patient or medication events promptly.
• Support front office tasks and patient discharge processes.
