Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care seeks a proactive Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk operations in a fast-paced, team-driven clinic. You will assist providers with exams and patient care, perform blood draws, sample collections, and basic procedures, while ensuring EMR/EHR accuracy and patient comfort.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, adherence to safety policies, and collaboration with clinicians to maintain efficient patient flow and care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved MA program.
• Certification or state-approved MA training as required.
• Willingness to support Front Office Reception when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting and sports physicals.
• Handle procedures like ear lavage and oxygen administration.
• Notify provider of unusual patient events and safety concerns.
• Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR and clinic operations.
