NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Texas clinics. The role supports both front and back office duties, assisting providers during exams, taking vitals, and ensuring smooth patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, medication administration, and accurate EMR/EHR documentation, with emphasis on patient care and safety in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• Must have or obtain a national MA certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA).

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals.
• Administer medications per policy and Provider direction.
• Perform blood draws as directed by the Provider.
• Collect urine samples for testing per protocol.
• Assist in splinting, wound care, and minor procedures.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR and encounter documentation.
