Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Arizona is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to support fast-paced urgent care and primary care services. You will assist providers with exams, perform patient vitals, and manage medication administration under supervision, ensuring careful adherence to safety protocols and EMR/EHR usage.

The role includes opportunities to perform blood draws, urine collections, splinting, and sports physicals, while contributing to a patient-centered, respectful clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• Alternative: unapproved MA program plus CMA/RMA/CCMA certification per credential options.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws as directed by the provider.
• May collect urine samples for testing.
• May perform splinting and casting.
• Conduct sports physicals and other urgent care tasks.
